ALTA is seeking a technical resource lead and/or principal investigator for complex, high profile cultural resource investigations. The individual will lead cultural resource projects and selected business development opportunities. The Principal Investigator will mentor and supervise staff to ensure delivery of high-quality technical products through review protocols.
PAY: +$45 / hour. Offers made will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Lead and conduct Phase I and II cultural resource studies;
Ability to design and supervise archaeological fieldwork, lab processing, and/or or technical analysis and report preparation;
Managing budgets, supervising personnel, scheduling staff and tasks related to specific projects;
Strong technical writing skills;
A thorough understanding of the CEQA, NEPA, and NHPA Section 106;
Author Historic Properties Treatment Plans;
Complete Determinations of Eligibility for NRHP and CRHR;
Impact Assessment and Project Alternatives on Cultural Resources
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; and
Consult with Native American groups.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field.
At least 5 years of supervisory, management and team-oriented experience acquired over +10 years in cultural resources management;
Experience Leading Phase I and II Cultural Resource Studies in California;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A history of working with private, public-sector clients, and regulatory agencies.
